How we work

One team, from the first call to the release after launch

The people in the kick-off are the people writing the theme code, wiring the checkout and reading the analytics afterwards. Nothing gets handed to a delivery pod once the contract is signed, because there isn't one.

Shopify Plus, and nothing else

We don't split attention across five platforms. Every replatform, theme build and CRO programme feeds the same body of knowledge — which is why we can usually tell you what a piece of work takes before spending three weeks discovering it.

Performance and accessibility are acceptance criteria

Core Web Vitals budgets and WCAG 2.1 AA are gates on a release, not a tidy-up at the end. This site is held to the same standard — the accessibility statement sets out exactly how it's tested, and what still falls short.

We answer

A senior person reads every enquiry and replies within two working days. If a project isn't right for us you'll hear that in the reply, not after a month of proposals.

What we don't do

  • Account managers. You brief the people who build, and they brief you back. There's no layer in between to translate.
  • Platform tourism. If the honest answer is another platform, we'll say so and point you at someone better placed.
  • Headless for its own sake. A Shopify theme built properly is fast, and it's far cheaper to keep alive. Headless has to earn the extra surface area.
  • App-stacking. Every app on the storefront costs speed and adds a thing that can break. We'd rather build the small piece of code it replaces.
  • Retainers that bill for availability. Support hours buy work, and you see what they bought.
