Shopify replatforming & migration

Move to Shopify or Shopify Plus from WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce or a custom build — without losing rankings, data or momentum.

Replatforming fails in two places: the data and the URLs. Everything else — the theme, the apps, the integrations — can be rebuilt better than it was. Lose four years of order history or a page-one ranking, though, and the project is underwater before launch.

So we run migrations in that order. Discovery produces a complete inventory — every URL, every product, every customer segment, every integration — and the migration plan is a checklist against it. Cutover happens on a quiet morning with the catalogue frozen and orders replayed, and the redirect map is live from the first request.

What a migration includes

The store that launches is never a copy of the old one. Replatforming is the one moment you get to rebuild the theme from the ground up, remove the apps that accumulated, and put the merchandising calendar back in the team’s hands — so the project is scoped as a rebuild with a migration inside it, not a lift-and-shift.

Questions, answered

How long does a Shopify migration take?

A focused replatform runs six to twelve weeks depending on catalogue size and integrations.

Will we lose our search rankings when we migrate?

Not if the migration is planned around a complete redirect map and metadata parity. On our last replatform, position tracking across the top 200 queries showed no net movement through cutover.

Which platforms do you migrate from?

WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and custom builds. The process is the same discipline regardless of source: audit, map, migrate, verify.
